Palvelope is a pen-pal app for intentional one-on-one conversations. We match you with real people based on shared interests and writing pace, then let you exchange letters at whatever rhythm feels right.

Yes. The core experience — matching, writing, and reading letters — is free. We may introduce optional features in the future, but the fundamentals will always be free.

Palvelope is coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is built natively in SwiftUI — not a web wrapper — so it feels at home on every Apple device.

Each day we curate a small batch of people who share your interests and writing pace. You can pass on anyone you are not feeling, or write your first letter. Matches refresh daily — there is no endless scroll.

Not through search — that is intentional. But you can invite a specific person using a private invite code. Share the code with them, they enter it when they join, and you are connected instantly outside the match system.

Live is for quick back-and-forth, like a real conversation. Thoughtful is for a few paragraphs at your own pace. Letterlike is for long-form letters — you hold to send, and can schedule delivery at dawn, dusk, or any time up to seven days away. Both people in a conversation agree on the mode together.

Yes. You can write under a pen name and keep your location, real name, and other details private. You can also choose to be fully anonymous or fully open — and change it letter by letter.

Moments are messages you save for yourself. Long-press any message and tap "Save as moment" to keep it. You can add a personal note about why it mattered. They live in your Moments shelf for that conversation.

Your messages are encrypted in transit and stored securely. We do not read your private conversations. The only exceptions are when we investigate a report submitted by another user, or when legally required. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Tap the three-dot menu in any conversation and select Report. You can also block or unmatch from the same menu. We review every report.

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes all your data — profile, messages, and matches — within 30 days.
